The Ancient city of Perugia.

Perugia is a beautiful fortified walled city,

standing proud on the top of a hill with dramatic views of the valleys beyond. It is the capital of Umbria and known as a city of art. Full of ancient buildings narrow alleyways the streets and squares have so much character. So much inspiration and characterful views to paint. The museum in the city centre is a feast of paintings, icons and inspirational ancient artefacts.

It is only a short bus ride to the beautiful city of Assisi. very picturesque with the wonderful basilica and pretty streets. A great day out to capture another beautiful city.

 A 10 day trip to soak up and capture this beautiful city. The accomodation is a centrally located hotel, with a selection of beautiful rooms.

The trip to Marrakesh and Essaouira was a wonderful combination of art and tourism – a feast of colour, sights and smells in alleyways packed with spices, produce and craftwork bursting out of market stalls. Stunning public gardens, brilliant light. An enduring inspiration for artists.

Brambles Amalfi – Italy

There were inspirational views of Naples’ Bay to sketch and paint, from the hotel. Painting trips provided diversity in the ruins of Pompeii, the gardens of Ravello, the churches, and the ancient streets of Positano and Amalfi. Expert tuition was provided by our hosts Janet and Peter. A delightful trip.
